Alison’s international career has spanned 30 years, many continents and an equal number of sectors from high tech investments to conservation and green building.

Expertise? Sustainable consulting expertise, with experience ranging from marketing and business consultancy at a high-technology investment fund to working with a variety of small entrepreneurial companies seeking growth opportunities and partnerships worldwide, which she helps to facilitate.

Passions? People, planet and profit. A self-starter with a penchant for start-ups and big picture vision, Alison’s feet remain firmly grounded in best practice and participatory management.

Alison was recently the Special Advisor to the IUCN Conservation Centre Green Building Project, the first LEED Platinum Building to be constructed in Europe. Prior to this she was Director of Global Operations for The International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
She serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA), where she was previously Controller and Business Manager, and launched SMP Marketing Sarl in 1999 to provide globalization/localization sector marketing support through a virtual organization she founded in four countries. Alison now runs a conference and retreat centre in one of Switzerland’s picturesque and historic valleys and is launching a series of seminars on Holistic Stress Management.

Despite her qualifications including a degree in art and multiple advanced management and finance courses, her most extensive hands-on management training came from raising six children!

She lives in Romainmotier, Switzerland with her husband and frequent visiting hoards of family.
